Now before all you crazy Filipino fans go gaga over my point of view. Let me explain. Your argument cannot only be “she has the best voice” for her to win. Or have a biased view because she represents our race. Think about it in the long run and performing as a whole. No doubt about it, she has a great voice. But so does Charice, joshua and Phillips. Joshua has a great voice and has the ability to connect with the audience so well. What else stood out for Jessica except for her voice? Phillips has a unique voice AND he has the ability to make and change song in his own way - like a true artist should. And again I ask you this question, what else stood out for Jessica except for her voice. And if she wasn’t Filipino, would you care as much as you do now? Phillips for American idol. He has the the look, the image, the uniqueness and a different vibe and music for the industry. Something refreshing. Jessica was criticized for not being able to connect to the audience and show the world who she is. .. Something that Philipps had already established since his FIRST audition. .. And yes, as proven by his last performance. He can sing the melody.
